Featured Spirits: Play with your Liqueurs!

One of the most rewarding parts of being an at-home mixologist is getting to play with textures, elements, and proportions until you dial it in to your preference. If this sounds like you, then you have also probably learned that keeping around an array of extra flavors serves to satisfy that itch for instant gratification when struck with a burst of inspiration. This month, we are going to explore some of the more singular liqueurs and mixing spirits meant more as ingredients than as beverages in and of themselves. Most of them will play well with a much wider array of base spirits and in a wider array of cocktails than you would think. Especially when you let yourself forget the "rules" and follow your senses into the depths of your curiosity.
