Labor Day Weekend has arrived! Fall is officially right around the corner (even if it doesn't quite feel like it yet)! You're going to need some wine!
This may be our favorite time of year at Wardman, because rich red wines are becoming fashionable again, but light, pretty white wines still delight the palate, and rosé has its swansong. So of course, we thought we'd put together another six-pack to celebrate this versatility. We taste through hundreds of wines and pick our favorites to highlight and share with you, and we've picked six that we think reflect the spirit of the season.
To lead off, a sparkling rosé of Baga from legendary Portuguese producer Luis Pato is dry, bright, and mineral, perfect for fending off the lingering heat of summer. A liter of fresh, floral Verdicchio from Marche is an easy-drinking crowd-pleaser for the last picnics of the year. And as the nights cool down, the richness of Burgundian Chardonnay and the freshness of carbonic Tempranillo from Rioja really come into their own. Finally, whether for the last cook-outs of the season or the first Fall dinner parties, a fruit-forward, low-oak Cabernet from one of our favorite South African producers and a bold and chewy Petite Sirah from California should pair perfectly.
We're excited to share these bottles with you, and we'll have them open on the bar for you to try on Friday, September 1 from 4-7PM. So stop by for a taste and pick up your six-pack for the holiday weekend!
Like all our seasonal six-packs, the Fall Six-Pack is 15% off retail pricing, and the individual wines are all 10% off.
