Women in the History of Beer

Women, throughout history, have had an extremely profound impact on beer. From ancient Mesopotamia, to the Middle Ages, to the modern day we have recorded evidence of brewing techniques, social traditions, and farming practices associated with and occasionally dominated by women brewers. On Thursday, March 27 from 4pm to 7pm we will be discussing their historical significance, modern day resurgence, and everything in between while tasting beer from breweries with women at the helm.

While we take the time to acknowledge the history, we would also take a moment to highlight the Pink Boots Society and the great work that is being done to help reintegrate women into a male-dominated industry.
