Wines of Sicily

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean and is known for the vibrant diversity of its wines, reflecting centuries of winemaking tradition. Sicilian wines range from robust reds grown on the hotter plains, to crisp, mineral whites from the slopes of Mt. Etna, to historic fortified styles. Indigenous grapes such as Nero d’Avola, Frappato, Grillo and Catarratto thrive in Sicily’s sunny, dry climate and varied soils, producing wines with ripe fruit, lively acidity, and a strong sense of place. Long neglected on the international market, Sicilian wines have come into their own in recent years, as a new generation of young winemakers has stepped in to shake up the status quo.

Join us on Wednesday, January 28 from 4pm to 7pm for an exploration of the wines of Sicily!

Tickets for our regular Wednesday tastings are $15, and the wines in the lineup are all 10% off during the tasting.
