This week we're exploring South African wine! It's been a minute or two since we've given this region our undivided attention, and it continues to impress us with both the quality and uniqueness of its wines.
With a surprisingly long history of winemaking, South African wine straddles the line between Old World and New World. Since the end of apartheid in the 1990s, South African wines have gained new attention in international markets, and winemakers there have made enormous progress, modernizing their operations and raising the standard of quality, while retaining an unmistakable style that marks their wines as uniquely South African.
Join us this Friday, June 25 at 4pm on Instagram Live! We'll spend some time exploring some of the varieties and styles of South African wine, and talk a little bit about what it is that makes this region so interesting.
