The white wines of the Rhône Valley tend to play second fiddle to their more famous red siblings, which is a real pity, because they can be truly stunning, equal parts graceful, elegant, and complex. This may have something to do with the fact that many of the best and most important white varieties are quite finicky in the vineyard. Their temperamental nature also tends to discourage growers from planting them in other parts of the world as well. Nevertheless, white Rhône-inspired wines do exist almost everywhere, and this week, we're going to be showcasing a few of them.
