We are utterly delighted to have Julia Coney back in the shop on Friday, May 10 from 4pm to 7pm! She'll be pouring some of her picks for this week's Five for Friday, so stop in to say hello!
Julia is a long-time friend of the shop, who has made waves in the wine world as the founder of Black Wine Professionals, an organization dedicated to "lift[ing] up the multifaceted Black professionals in the world of wine." She has been recognized for her work in this area by Wine Enthusiast and Wine Industry Network. In addition to her activism and advocacy, Julia is a widely-published freelance wine writer, a wine consultant for American Airlines, and has spoken at important industry conferences all over the country. To learn more about her many accomplishments, check out her website. You can also find her on Instagram, Facebook, and Threads.
We love it when Julia comes to visit; she's simply great people, and her passion for and knowledge of wine and wine culture are infectious. If you don't already know Julia, you should, and now's your chance to meet her! And if you do know Julia, then you already know you need to stop by on Friday. See you then!
