GBIV Whiskey Tasting in Brookland

On Sunday, June 22 from 3-5 pm, Wardman Wines will be hosting a tasting of Whisk(e)ys from around the world sponsored by the Greater Brookland Intergenerational Village. The lineup has been curated to explore the range of whisk(e)y made in various parts of the world, with differing grains, techniques, and traditions to produce spirits with a sense of a particular place and a particular people.

Let's be honest for a moment, and recognize that way back when the only humans on the planet were nomadic, we only stopped in one place long enough for only one reason. To plant grains to ferment into libation.  Since then, those among us to have settled into one place or another have built on that foundation over the centuries to produce a staggering array of expressions of a beverage called whiskey. The whole food agriculture thing was a happy byproduct.

That last bit is, of course, a joke. But it's not the only one you would hear should you choose to join us on Sunday, June 22. Tickets, while limited, are available HERE. Can't wait to see you there!
