Dovetail & Drowned Lands

Freshly back from visiting a few favorite breweries in Maine, on Thursday (August 27, from 4-7pm) Phil is going to highlight two that are still on his To Do list, and which should probably be on yours. Both have made several appearances on the Wardman beer shelves, but are worth a closer look and make for a nice contrast. Dovetail in Chicago brew beautifully traditional beer, usually hewing closely to straight, classic European styles, made with a precision that very much fits their name. The Drowned Lands in the Hudson Valley, meanwhile, is more modern and eclectic but with a level of refinement that sets it apart from a lot of its "craft" contemporaries.
