Andeluna: Mountain Wines from Argentina

On Saturday, May 7, we are delighted to turn over the tasting bar to Nicolas Cricco, Export Manager from Andeluna Cellars. He'll be pouring a selection of their wines from the high-altitude vineyards of the Uco Valley in Argentina. We're excited to have these wines in the shop for the first time; they have great purity and intensity and also represent excellent value.

Andeluna Cellars is a family-owned winery in Gualtallary in the Uco Valley of Argentina. Founded in 2003 and now under the direction of winemaker Manuel Gonzalez Bals, Andeluna is focused on making wines that are strongly evocative of its unique terroir.

Gualtallary is located in Tupungato, the northernmost subregion of the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. It is home to some of the highest elevation vineyards in Mendoza. Because of the altitude, the vines receive plentiful, intense sunlight but still experience sharp diurnal temperature variation, resulting in wines that have great intensity of flavor without being heavy or flabby.

Nicolas will be at the bar this Saturday, May 7, from 1pm-4pm. We look forward to seeing you!

Please note, for the health and safety of our customers, our staff, and their families, we do still require masks be worn inside the store, except when tasting at the bar, and we do ask that customers provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 before tasting. Thank you for your cooperation.
